FAQs

  • Our fees are based on the New York City industry standard. We have a limited number of sliding scale slots available for clients who are struggling to find affordable psychotherapy. It is important to us that client’s receive treatment that is within their budget.

  • I am an out-of-network provider which means that I will provide you with the necessary documentation to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Out-of-network benefits typically cover 40-100% of my fee. When you call your insurance company to verify your benefits I recommend asking the following questions:

    -Do I have out-of-network mental/behavioral health benefits?
-Do I have an out-of-network deductible? If so, how much, and has it been met by other medical expenses?
-What amount is covered per psychotherapy session?

  • As I continue to see clients via Telehealth, I am currently only accepting Credit or Debit cards.

  • Our time together is precious, but I understand there are times where you will not be able to make your appointment. I request that you let me know at least 48 hours in advance should you need to cancel. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice and I cannot reschedule you, you will be required to pay for the full fee of your session.

  • Your safety and privacy is important to me and protected by law. All of your information will be kept confidential unless you sign a HIPPA form granting me permission to disclose information. There are three exceptions where I am required by law to disclose information without your consent:

    1. If there are any concerns or indication that you are harming someone else

    2. If there are any concerns or indication that someone is harming you

    3. If you are intending to harm yourself

  • Sessions are 50 minutes long and we will meet once or twice a week depending on your needs.

  • I offer in-person sessions at my office in Union Square and virtual sessions via telehealth.

  • I do not have a one size fits all approach to therapy. I am a person-centered and strengths based practitioner who truly believes in collaborating with my clients to support their healing and growth. Using modalities that address both the mind and body, I hope to facilitate the micromovements that lead you to feeling like you are living the most authentic version of yourself. Some examples of evidence based practices that I may use with clients are CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Experiencing and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
